By far one
of the largest and most successful World War II Weekends ever in the history of
the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum took place on 7-9 June 2002 as hundreds of
re-enactors, vintage armor and aircraft, modern military aircraft and a huge
tent encampment filled the north ramp of the Reading Regional Airport. Hi-lights
of the event included numerous guest speakers, a great swing dance on Saturday
evening, an exciting ground battle scenario, and great vintage aircraft such as
the Hurricane, TBM, and B-17.
