The Windex 1200 C is built of fiberglass over a honeycomb Nomex core with a 100% carbon fiber spar, carbon fiber reinforcements in critical areas and a Kevlar reinforced cockpit for crash protection. All controls are 100% mass balanced to accommodate Steve's extreme flying style. The engine that gets Steve to altitude is a Konig, 3 cylinder radial engine with an output of only 21 horsepower. "When you fly an aircraft as slick as this one", Steve says, "it doesn't take much to get it up 'n flying."

and its pilot Steve Coan : Steve has approximately 8,000 flights in sailplanes and about 2,500 hours in powered aircraft, mostly in the Waco YMF-5 that Steve and Vicki used as the perfect aircraft for giving aerial tours of the island of Maui, Hawaii from 1989 to 1993.
