For both pictures were used handheld lens Canon 100-400mm
IS with image stabilizer on.
Canon EOS 3 , film Kodak Supra 100, scanned on film scanner CanoScan FS 4000 US set at 2000dpi :
Canon D60 1/1000s f 5.6 ISO 200 135mm focal length

Below parts of these pictures compared in full size:
1. D60 - JPEG straight from the camera: 3072 x 2048 pix 2. EOS 3 2000dpi scan JPEG level 11 Photoshop 7.0
Digital picture from D60 seems to be cleaner (no grain) but has slightly less details, therefore looks flatter.

3.Left: D60 picture with the Photoshop filter adding soft grain to make it look as close as the real film shot. Looks more realistic, isn't it ?
Right: The same EOS3 pictures as nr 2 above
Filter settings : Grain filter, soft grain, intensity 16, contrast 50, picture size 3072 x 2048 (only part of the pictures shown above)
